HOLI FESTIVAL

Also known as the ‘festival of colours’ Holi is the second largest of all Hindu festivals that takes place at the beginning of spring across India, it celebrates the victory of good over evil and dates back before the birth of the Hindu god Krishna some five thousand years ago. It is celebrated by playfully throwing coloured powder and paint across absolutely everyone and everything.

In 2007 Tom traveled to Mathura, the birth place of Krishna, to capture this colourful event.
