Bear Dance Traditions (part 2)
While I’ve been putting together a gallery of photos from the Bear Dancing in Romania to go in the portfolio section of my website I came across more images that I wanted to share with you. No doubt some will make it into the collection, others won’t. If you missed my post last week on the Bear Dance you can check it out here Over the last week I’ve learnt plenty more about the traditions and festivals that go on throughout the […]
Bear Dance Traditions
I know, I know, I say this at almost every celebration I visit… but this has to be one of the best. Seriously. It was National Geographic veteran photographer Jim Richardson who said something like “If you want to be a better photographer, stand in front of more interesting stuff.” I’ve always liked that saying and it has been the fuel for many of my travels. For me, This festival was that interesting stuff Jim said I should stand in front of. essays services […]
Where did the time go?
So, Christmas is now out of the way and it daunted on me how long it’s been since I last updated you with my travels. Since the last post so much has happened including me launching my first ever ebook. Apart from that, I’ve driven across Spain back to Barcelona via some incredible scenery (more on that in a minute), I’ve flown to the UK for a kind of pre-Christmas family get together, flown back to Barcelona for Christmas and I now […]

A simple but beautiful life
Recently I’ve spent most nights camped up on the edge of a beach somewhere along the South coast of Spain. The entire coast is dotted with great spots where, at least at this time of the year, you can simply park up and spend a few nights of bliss. That’s not to say I haven’t been working too!! but more on that later. Just to spoil the image that everywhere I go is beautiful, I’ll share with you the fact that I […]
Updates from the South of Spain
Recently I’ve been spending time in some interesting places, one of with is this old gold mine on the edge of a sleepy town named Rodalquilar in province of Almeria, Spain. The province is better known for it’s fresh fruit and vegetables, but once upon a time gold was a great source of income for the region. It’s unknown when the mines were first opened but there are records dating back to 1864. Mining continued on and off right up until 1990. […]
